Orel Ferguson is the creative force behind Uncutt Glass Pictures, an innovative visual art practice that transforms fractured glass into powerful works of storytelling and reflection. A member of the City of Sunrise Chamber of Commerce, Orel Ferguson has been involved with staging indoor and outdoor Art Exhibitions over the last five years, and has curated presentations in multiple cities including Delray Beach, City of Lauderhill, City of Tamarac as well as the City of Sunrise. Orel has been the brainchild behind the World Art Day Event, born out of his first staging of the event at Sawgrass Mills Mall in April 2025. Orel brings that experience together with his relationships with the City Commissioners, the Sunrise Chamber of Commerce to make this 2026 event possible. He brings his vision for the event as an annual fixture to the South Florida artistic community drawing on the respect that he has earned as a cultural contributor and arts advocate within South Florida’s creative community. In recognition of his artistic impact and cultural leadership, the City of Sunrise awarded him a formal proclamation on April 15, 2025, officially declaring the date “Orel Ferguson Day”—a distinction that coincides with World Art Day. That same year, Ferguson successfully produced a major World Art Day celebration at Sawgrass Mills Mall, further solidifying his role as both an artist and cultural organizer.
